Chris Walker
Prior to founding The Walker Group, Chris Walker was VP of Marketing at USi—the technology industry pioneer and market-leading enterprise application service provider. USi was acquired by AT&T in 2006. In this role, he oversaw a wide range of marketing and sales functions, including worldwide marketing strategy, telesales and pipeline generation, corporate brand strategy, and marketing operations.
Chris Walker joined USi in 2000 from technology-training start-up Digital Education Systems, where he directed business development. Digital Education Systems was sold to Paragon Solutions in early 2000. Prior to Digital Education—during a period in Washington, DC spanning 8 years—Chris worked as a Congressional aide to Representative John Dingell, as a lobbyist for law firm Skadden, Arps, and as a White House aide to President Clinton. As Director of Message within the Office of Legislative Affairs at the White House from 1995 to 1998, Walker communicated the President's legislative agenda to a global audience—issue areas of expertise included NAFTA, MFN for China, the TeleCom Act of 1996, and Campaign Finance Reform. Walker’s office developed public policy position papers, letters, and speeches for delivery by the President, Members of Congress, and United States Senators.
Chris is a graduate of Duke University. He and his family reside in Annapolis, Maryland and Washington, DC.
Seth J. Lucash
Seth is a six-time head of marketing with 25 years of marketing and product management experience in the information technology industry.
Seth was Chief Marketing Officer of SecureInfo, where he launched a comprehensive go-to-market strategy to: reposition the company; provide a clear, compelling message and value proposition; and develop a new product strategy. Under his marketing leadership, the company developed a renewed focus and achieved 50% revenue growth from 2006 to 2007. Seth joined SecureInfo after serving as Vice President of Marketing for e-Security, Inc., where he was responsible for go-to-market strategy and all marketing programs. During Seth’s tenure, the company grew by more than 50% and his innovative positioning lead to e-Security’s successful acquisition by Novell in April 2006.
Previously, Seth was Vice President of Marketing at B2eMarkets, where he positioned the company as an on-demand strategic sourcing solutions supplier, which led to a successful merger with Verticalnet, Inc.
Seth also served as Vice President of Marketing for Digital Paper (acquired by e-Plus, Inc), Director of Marketing for GE Global eXchange Services, and Vice President of Marketing for POMS Corporation (acquired by Honeywell.) He graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in management and did his graduate studies at Rice University in organizational development.
Scott Byrnes
Scott Byrnes has more than 15 years of sales, marketing and product management experience in the information technology industry.
Scott was Vice President of Marketing for HandySoft Global Corporation, where he charted a new product direction and spearheaded its development. Scott successfully repositioned and rebranded the company around a set of innovative capabilities, ultimately differentiating it within the crowded Business Process Management (BPM) software sector.
Before HandySoft, Scott was Director of Corporate Communications for Plateau Systems, where he more than doubled the company’s media placements and oversaw analyst relations efforts that resulted in the company’s #1 ranking by the IT community’s two leading analyst firms.
Scott joined Plateau Systems from Vastera, where he ran corporate communications and participated in the company’s S1 filing and successful IPO. Prior to Vastera, Scott spent five years at Manugistics in sales and sales leadership roles.
He began his career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).
Scott graduated from the University of Richmond with a degree in finance and marketing. He currently resides in Washington, DC with his wife and two children.
